This course deals with the risk of injury due to current transmission or the action of a short circuit or arc. We go through regulations that specify the basic safety requirements that must be met without detailing what safety measures should be taken when working where there is an electrical danger to those who participate in work.
ELSA provides the user with the basic theoretical knowledge required by government regulations for working on or adjacent to electric high-current installations. With ELSA, you have access to the regulations that apply to the maintenance of electrical installations, methods according to Swedish standards and the basic principles according to ESA.
The course follows the syllabus that STF has developed for electrical safety work in electrical installations. The course is based on SS EN 50110-1.

Purpose of the course
After the course, you who work in industrial electrical installations as well as electrical installations in homes etc. have learned to prevent electrical accidents by applying the adapted safety instructions ELSA. The course ends with a final exam where participants receive a personal certificate after passing the result.

All work such as measures on or near electrical installations with voltage levels from and including low voltage to high voltage.
Employers, employees, technicians as well as administrators who are active within industrial and installation companies and must be able to apply all or parts of ELSA when managing electrical installations.

Anders' background is primarily as an operation and maintenance technician in transmission and distribution, as well as a few years as a "hydropower machinist", as he puts it himself. For many years, he has also worked with the construction of electrical and control systems as well as automation programming for hydropower plants. Anders has also worked a lot with commissioning both inside and outside of Sweden.
Before Anders quit as an employee, he worked as an electrical safety specialist at an industrial company in the power industry. Today he is a consultant with a number of different long-term assignments. Partly as a work environment specialist with a focus on electrical safety at a research activity in the power industry, partly as an educator at several universities of applied sciences where he primarily educates in electrical safety and electrical power maintenance. Other assignments also occur with a focus on the electrical work environment and plant safety.
Klas-Göran is a civil engineer in power electrical engineering, chairman of TK78 and has participated in the international working group that revised EN 50110-1. He is since many years a valued lecturer at STF.
Peter is an authorized installer who divides his time between assignments as a lecturer in electrical engineering and electrical safety, and as an electrical installer in his own electrical installation company.
The course fee includes documentation and in physical classrooms also meals (lunch and coffee) unless otherwise specified.
